Our Educators

Angela Paletta-Haslam is our wonderful and dedicated Early Childhood Educator & Preschool Manager.

She was first introduced to cooperative preschools as a parent and has been hooked ever since. Angela has led children in the classroom and the community for over 30 years, and has been the lead educator at Gonzales Preschool since 2010.

With a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care and an ECE certificate, Angela brings an incredible mix of skill, knowledge and passion to the children and families of Gonzales Preschool.

When she’s not at preschool, Angela loves sharing food and nature adventures with her husband, two adult daughters and their family dogs.

Melanie Cullins brings her warmth, support and inspirations as our Early Childhood Education Assistant.

Melanie has worked with children for over 20 years and has been a part of Gonzales Preschool since 2021. Her cooperative preschool journey began as a parent and she is thrilled to return to the community as an Early Childhood Educator’s Assistant.

Melanie has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics and Anthropology as well as her ECEA certification. She uses her education, background and experience to bring thoughtful and meaningful interactions to preschool.

When she’s at home, Melanie loves playing sports with her three children. She also spends a lot of time on outdoor adventures with her husband, their kids and their family dog.
